Originally from Jacksonville, FL, a love child by the name of Tranea Lola Cannon was born. Now residing in Atlanta, GA by way of Coral Springs, FL, the superstar entertainer, Tranea Luxe is the newest R&B/Hip Hop/Pop singing sensation poised to take the music industry by storm. It would be a mistake for anyone to let her top model looks and sexy swag fool you into thinking that’s all she’s made of because her talent goes much deeper than what you see on the surface. She is very passionate, determined and focused on creating music that everyone can relate to and enjoy. She wants to usher back in the good ole days when everyone in the music business could actually SANG!

 

At the age of two, Tranea would grab a microphone and pretended to perform in front of a live audience. She began honing her vocal skills at the age of six in her local Church and was an active member of various band groups throughout her high school years. Her desire to become a great vocalist continued to burn from within which lead her to enroll at the University of the Performing Arts in Davie, FL where she received professional vocal lessons.

 

She then entered Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL on a full Band scholarship where she was a member of the schools famed Marching 100. And because singing is her first love, she also secured a scholarship to sing in the university’s Concert Choir under the tutelage of the very well respected music director, Mr. Mark Butler. She continues to improve her skills as a vocalist by furthering her professional lessons every chance she gets. She truly wants to become one of the reat singers of her time.

 

Tranea proudly admits that her zest for music was greatly influenced by the sounds of Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Destiny’s Child, Usher, Boys 2 Men, SWV, Mariah Carey, and Luther Vandroos just to name a few. They inspired her very unique sound that truly compares to none. The only comparison that can be made of her sound is that like the aforementioned artist, each one created their own identity in the industry. And that is Tranea’s goal and the standard by which she wants to be judged…by her own merits. Performing live is one of her greatest joys because she gets the opportunity to prove to people that what you hear on her CD is the same as what you hear at her show.

 

Tranea has been blessed to have shared the stage with famed industry heavyweights the likes of Angela Winbush, The Stylistics, Donnie McClurkin and Charlie Wilson very early on in her career. She also had the pleasure of sharing the stage with one of her favorite Hip Hop/R&B artists, “Mr. Imma Zoe” himself, Black Dada. Her performances are electrifying and leave the crowd wanting more!

Along with her singing, song writing and performing talents; Tranea plays [3] instruments (Trombone, French Horn & Mela-phone) and is currently adding the piano to her repertoire. She can act, dance and rap. Not only does she have beauty and talent, she also has brains as she has a Degree in Molecular Cell Biology and a minor in Chemistry from FAMU . She takes her education very seriously and advocates it strongly to young people.

Now that’s what you call “The Total Package”! But, her immediate plan is to continue her budding music career and to spread her gift of music around the world bringing joy to all within her reach.
